


Can I pot this with the lower leaf still attached or will it rot in the soil? Some of the upper parts are already a little mouldy so I don’t want to do anything to encourage rot.
(I’m also not sure if this is a monstera cutting or a philodendron so if you know the ID that would be useful too)

It’s up to you I think you’re probably right the plant will let that leaf go once you put it in soil but chances are it won’t hurt it to allow the leaf to brown off and dessicate naturally
I’d be more worried about getting the mold under control, you can spray with hydrogen peroxide and scrub the roots with an old toothbrush or paper towel and then rinse really well
It’s a monstera also
Are there any roots coming out near the very bottom where the one leaf is located? Why not cut the whole stem and have two plants
