I recently bought seven new citrus trees, and today was the big day to repot them all into 25-gallon containers from their nursery pots. This size gives the roots plenty of space to spread out, but if you’re growing fruit trees, 15 to 20 gallon containers can also work well, depending on the variety and your space. #citrus #gardening #trees #gardeningtips #fruit #fruittrees #orangetree #containergardening
For the soil, I’m using Heirloom Soils’ Citrus, Fruit Tree, and Berry mix, a premium, peat-free blend designed to support strong root development and healthy growth. To give the trees an extra boost, I’m also using Fox Farm Citrus Fertilizer, packed with essential nutrients to encourage vibrant foliage and productive fruiting. With the right setup, these trees should thrive and hopefully start producing plenty of fruit in the seasons ahead!

Are they dward plants? My husband and I want to do dwarf or semi-dwarf trees in containers? Do you have a suggestion on size pots?

I thought the dog was a statue too at the beginning.
Good afternoon watching from jersey, how long are you plant the trees in container it's going to bear fruits.
You make citrus trees obey. They are so much work! There are ppl thst grow them on neglect, that’s just outright unfair… love your video
Where did you get your potting soil?
What os the powder that youre applying before planting the fruit trees?
I have a peach tree that’s thriving bin it’s container. ❤❤
Wonder if there are solutions for those where the containers need to be moved in & out seasonally..
What all did you put in that pot? What kind of bag of soil is that where did you get it?
Thank you! 👍🏾
What is that you sprinkle into the soil?

Nice! How big are your containers in gallons please!
BEAUTDUL DOG
Where do you find such big containers?
What kind of soil do you use 🌱🩷
A few questions, where did u get those pots? And did you drill any extra holes in the bottom? And lastly are those the final pots for them or will u go bigger later ?
I just bought a lime and avocado tree in I believe 3gal pots from Home Depot. I repotted into 21.675 gallon pots, but am now watching all these YT videos that recommend slow stepping from 3 to 7 to 15 then a big pot or ground. Are those three gallons you are transferring to 25 gallon? Should I consider moving them to smaller pots and stepping them up or do you think they’ll be fine? I understand I just need to be careful not to over water and make sure they drain well. Also a fellow Houstonian so would be great to get your input. Thanks.
Citrus grows in containers best if you use a 511 mix because they don't like their roots being wet
❤❤❤
The pots are too big for the size of the tree
Looking good!
Finally someone putting them in a proper size container
You should gradually upsize your pots. The biggest I would go is a 10gallon from that 3gal, maybe 15gal but that’ll be pushing it.
Plus I highly recommend adding some Sand and Perlite to your potting mix. Citrus doesn’t like to be wet for too long because it will then cause root rot and you’ll be out of a tree and hard efforts.
