Our house have mostly east facing windows (out of frame to the lower right of this picture) and one west facing window from the kitchen. I put in some full spectrum bulbs right above it. But im not sure if its adequate. also my wife is kind of annoyed that the lights have to stay on all day. But thats another post for another dub 😅

Yeah my girlfriend gets mad at the lights on all day too lol. But yeah I would think the light needs to be much closer to be effective, I use grow bulbs and with a lux reader after about 2 feet away it’s not really a meaningful amount of energy. Also pretty far from the window to get good energy from there. Just to be sure the full spectrum bulbs are in that Ceiling light fixture in the shot not over the plant directly?
No
I’d get a spotlight or hanging light above it that also illuminates the photo on the wall. Double duty.
I would maybe get a sconce light and put it directly over the plant, it would be a more controlled beam and maybe your wife wouldn’t get mad as much 😅 my boyfriend makes me turn off the lights if we’re watching a movie or something during the day 😂
Not even close, it will die there.
Absolutely not.
You have enough light to basically see the plant; not enough for it to grow.
No and not just your monstera but the plant on the left too. They are reaching for the light
Gets a tropical plant.
Doesn’t put it anywhere near a window.

you know when the sun burns your eyes when its shining right at them?
monsteras need that kind of light for many hours every day
Nope. You’ve also got multiple plants which is why it looks so crazy. Monsteras need a lot of light. This is how mine sits:

Monsteras are a full sun plant. They pretty much cannot get enough. Powerful grow light for that size, for sure!
Not at all
If you live anywhere that is not near the equator/tropical, any spot besides next to a south facing window (northern hemisphere) doesn’t get enough light. You really can’t overdo it here
No. This one isn’t getting enough light, and it’s right by a west facing window.

No.
Not enough light. I would also be annoyed if an overhead light had to stay on all day even if it was enough light
Also it looks like you have tied the petioles of the leaves to the board behind it when I zoom in. Only the stem should be tied down
everyone is so mean, but ideally you d put it closer to a window. nice trick to try, if you put yourself in the door of your plant, how much sun do you see? that should give you an idea
NO🤬

Here is my largest of all my (45+) monsteras.
See the bottom leaf is huge with tons of fenestrations. That leaf grew with the previous owner, who had it in a south facing sliding glass door.
See how the top leaves have less fenestrations? Those grew while I’ve had the plant. This room is my plant room, and it has 28 grow lights on 16 hour timers and one large north facing window and two large south east facing windows (one is pictured here). And it’s still not enough light for this plant to grow the large mature leafs like the bottom ones.
I use this light, not super expensive but works great! https://a.co/d/013yxAuN
