Extreme heat can destroy your garden fast—but these simple strategies can save it. ☀️ In this Short, I show how 40% shade cloth dropped the temperature under my trellis by over 20°F, helping protect tender vegetables during 90°+ days. Combine that with early morning drip irrigation and a thick 3–4 inch layer of mulch (like straw, coco chips, or compost), and your plants will stay cool, hydrated, and thriving—even in brutal sun.
If you’re a gardener battling hot weather or climate stress, these tips are must-haves. Whether you grow in raised beds, containers, or a backyard plot, these heat-resistance hacks will help you grow stronger, more productive plants all summer long.

To protect the world from devasta…. Oh, sorry. My mind thought that was the direction you were going. 😅
Great video, shared it to my mom.
Keep the mulch away from the base of your plants. Just 3-4 inches or about 100mm and you won't get as many issues, like fungus or ants, etc.
Everytime i put mulch my plant faces tragedy because of ants🥲
So smart^^
I wish we had this problem in Scotland 🏴
Why not use a pergola?
