Welcome to Mountain Garden Rescue 🌿

I’m James — and I clean up seriously overgrown gardens for free to help people who are struggling.

Whether it’s due to age, disability, mental health, financial hardship, or just feeling completely overwhelmed, I believe everyone deserves a tidy outdoor space to relax in.

On this channel, you’ll find:
🌱 Time-lapse garden transformations
🌳 Real stories from people in need
🧤 Satisfying clean-ups from start to finish
💚 Honest conversations about life, struggle, and community

This project is all about helping good people who feel stuck — and bringing neglected spaces back to life.

  1. We’d left this porch area to completely overgrow because we had a hedgehog living right by our front door 🦔 We gave him a safe little home there, but after a while he moved on. So, we carefully relocated his house to a more private spot and finally tidied the space. What do you think of the transformation?

  2. This became as nice as a Hobbit front garden, bench and all. Now all you need to do is smoke a churchwarden pipe and wait for Gandalf.
The brick went from dingy to a golden yellow-brown color. Enjoyed the little child checking on you throughout. You may want to uncover that round vent.

  3. Don't like the bench, the lattice cover or the hanging light shades. It should have been paved or pavers put down with an outdoor rug on top. A comfy loveseat with pillows and dainty hanging lights would have worked better. The lattice cover should have been painted white or dark green. A hanging succulent "picture" would have worked on the solid wall. It looks way better than before, just not the right design choices.

  4. Really pretty! A functional sitting area for a quick smoke, private cocktails with a confidant, or a morning cup of coffee in the fresh air! You’ll need that after a few private cocktails, lol. I love it!

  5. Looks fantastic. Could tell that was your house by the rugs outside drying and the equipment in the garage. Have you lived there long?

  6. How many times do you need to pound the wooden forms into the ground, pull them up, dig more, pound again, pull them up, dig more, pound them again, pull them up, dig more, pound them again ,etc, etc until you arrive at the last placement?

  7. Bless your Hands to continue more and more. Small place and so much work, everything by yourself. Bravo Bravo. Remind me – myself. Doing such things in my yard.

  8. What a sweet quaint garden area you made. Is this your home? If so your wife must love it also! You did yourself proud. It's beautiful! Do you travel? You could even stay at our home..
