How do I put this nicely? My woman does not have a green thumb at least not yet and I found her stash of succulents that have been long forgotten about. my question to y’all would be can I save this or should It go into the compost?

If someone is forgetting about their plants, then they shouldn’t have any.

That might come back actually. I’d set it in a bowl of water and let it absorb for like 5-6 hours. Obviously it’s gonna need some sun too. You can trim off the brown parts if you want.
Maybe. Try soaking in water for a couple hours and then find it some light

Is this an aloe? A couple times I let my aloe sit forgotten and very dead looking on the window sill and one of the times I left it for over a year, no idea why. Something clicked and I decided to see what would happen if I watered it again and it did start growing new leaves. I was still using the same dirt too.

Give it water, give it light!

Today I repotted my aloe because it had two different types of soil mixed in. I was complaining that it wasn’t producing any pups despite being a bit old. The result: I almost broke two pups that were growing underground. I hope you manage to get yours to grow properly.

buddy just water it. Soak it in a bowl of water for 30 mins because there should is hydrophobic, top it up when some sandy soil because the organic mix is too loose and open, then it put in bright light and water weekly.

I’ve had some succulents look dead and crispy after months of neglect. I’d say clean up the dead leaves, make sure the soil is proper, and give it a nice bottom soak.
