About Tim Cook

Tim Cook is a designer, illustrator, and printmaker living in the Bay Area of California. He grew up in Mississippi, spending most of his youth drawing cartoons from video game manuals, book covers, college mascots, Skybox basketball cards, and music magazines. It clicked early on that adults were creating all the art that he, a kid, loved, and he knew he wanted to do the same when he grew up. In his twenties, he spent over a decade in Nashville’s diverse creative scene pursuing art and music before he and his wife made their way out west. His work draws inspiration from the great graphic designers and illustrators of the 20th century—the ones who told clear stories, often intricate and full of subtlety, bringing life and whimsy to everyday moments.

Tim believes in being intentional with every aspect of his work. Whether it’s a poster, a print, or a brand identity, he wants to create something that welcomes everyone in while still rewarding those who take a closer look.
