I’m so sorry this is the only picture I have of this plant.
I was looking through my old photos and I came across this one. This plant really caught my eye, and it was the only one that I saw like this in the area. I tried looking up blue berries in NY, and found blue cohosh, but I’m also not sure. (And before anyone says anything, I am 100% sure it is not any kind of *Vaccinium*)
I took this photo in late August, upstate NY.

Either that or early blue cohosh
It does appear to be Blue Cohosh. There is a patch growing in the woods at my work that I always make a point to visit every year. Love how striking the color of the berries are.
