Bought 6 months ago, after a while crispy leaves, black dots, holes and cuts on the leaves. The pole is made out of pvc and rope. I have been cutting some of the damaged leaves. IF I decide to cut them all, I won't have a plant. New leaves are small and edges start curling and turning black. I tried natural fungicides for every type of insect, then for fungi, everything trying to avoid polyvalent fungicide. I put it in a new pot, changed soil, fertilized, changed placement to a sunnier and more airy place, I'm misting the pole, roots and checking humidity, put a tray with rocks under it and I don't turn on the heating. I finally went to polyvalent trying to save it. I'm at a loss. Nothing works. Help!

Your biggest issue here is I can see pothos do not like To stay wet, they want to dry out fully before watering. The water/pebble tray and not letting them dry out is going to cause rot. Pull it out of the pot and inspect the roots. If anything is mushy or brown, cut it off and repot into a chunkier house plant mix. Water once and then don’t water until you are sure it’s dry all the way to the bottom. Either put in a clear nursery pot to see the moisture or stick a wooden chop stick in the soil for a few minutes and then look at the stick.

To start, I would get it off those wet rocks. When you water it, let the water drain through. It can’t sit in a tray of water or else it’ll invite soggy roots and rot. I know it’s for humidity but to be honest, pothos don’t need additional humidity and pebble trays don’t do much. They are pretty hardy. My house has been at 20% RH all winter and my pothos are fine.

Focus on light and a better watering schedule
