Wow lavender 💜 stays for long years, that's wonderful! Always love to see Samantha and Russell around you in every videos ❤!!!
As pleasant as the weather may be for people, are the changes to your climate in the last several decades causing any concerning effects to the landscape plantings or crops in your area? Jumping from a zone 5 to a 7 in ten years seems extreme.
As always a great video guys!! Love seeing you out in the garden Laura. Well gotta be honest I’m getting quite envious now as it’s so cold, wet and soggy where I live, Leominster Herefordshire UK, constant rain I’m finding it hard to do any jobs in the garden. I did manage 2.5 hours yesterday before the rain started again. I’m going to be starting my onions (red barons)in the next week, such a joy when you start seed sowing isn’t it. Well that’s my moan over with and shared😃
It does my heart good to watch you puttering out there and planting and just getting set for spring, we are still buried in the ice in the north of Michigan. I haven’t seen the ground in so long. I think I forgot what color it is. I have spring fever and the weather is not cooperating. Thank you again for sharing everything with us makes me long for a greenhouse to start the season. I’ve tried to do them in my house several times but I have never been successful🙁
Just a great clean up video and planting onions.
Love seeing sweet Samantha and how excited she is to help mommy!💕
Your cleanup videos always motivate me, they make me excited to get outside and grow more this year! Quick question: with your cats around the garden, how do you keep them or other cats from using the beds as a litter box? We’re expanding our backyard planting space and have started noticing stray cats, so I’d love to set things up the right way from the start. Thank you for always teaching and inspiring us!❤
What you only have 1 tidy tray l 😂. We ❤ you Laura !
That carrot 😂 it’s a county fair prize winner for sure. 😂
Carrot on steroids😂
Always love to see lavender cutback. Spring is coming….well 2-3 months for me! So love following GA!!! Samantha, Russell and even quick view of Douglas-love it! Whoops forgot chickens-they were lovin on the greens! I don’t have the option of seed starting but still love watching you doing it. Anything gardening makes my day! ❤❤❤
Laura have you ever planted parsnips?
Aaron you said the best tree is the one you planted years ago.
Relocate the raised bed garden ASAP and get those trees growing, lots of them a whole new thick border, to block next door.
Have you thought about relocating your raised beds to the front of the house where you’re planning to rework the space? I remember you were considering boxwoods, but now that the maple has been moved and there’s more room, it might be worth putting the raised beds there instead and turning the current raised bed area into a larger hedge with bigger trees from the farm you source them from
Now I know why I lost my beautiful lavender plant a few years ago! I didn't know what I was doing.🙄
What? I didn't hear anything you said when Samantha was playing under the tables lol
I had a lavender plant at my last home that got really difficult to make pretty because of those long, woody branches. Thanks for this info! Learned something new today!!
Thanks for sharing your day.
Have you ever had o e of the cats poop in your garden beds? We have feral cats using ours this year and now I don’t know how to disinfect it so it’s safe to grow in. Anyone have any advise on this situation? Thanks in advance
Have U ever started seeds of in the seed snail method
So good to see you in the garden with kids, cats and chickens! 🌞 🌱 🪻 🥕
Just curious why you don't use all that lavender for anything?
The only thing that I miss was ay, was going together to clean the gater. No ride through your beautiful and so inspiring garden🤭
I don’t have very good luck with lavender for some reason and I have a couple that I’ve manage to keep alive but they got very woody. I decided to cut into the wood one fall and decided they can die I don’t care they’ve gotten too ugly. They survived and they look better than they did but not as good as yours. I think mine were 10 years old before I tried it.
i could smell the lavender. Oh my. Spring can't be too far away.
Hello Laura and Aaron! Long time viewer here…since the days you were blond, Laura! As always, thank you for inviting us to follow along with your tasks for the day. Laura, since you loaned out your plastic soil tray, it made me think of a question….whatever happened to the wooden soil tray you made a few years back? The pretty one with the black handles?
P.S. I received my first pair of Felco 2 pruners for Valentine’s Day from my hubby! They feel amazing in my hand and I’m eager to use them on my roses this weekend!
P.S.S. Aaron, your hair in this past Sunday’s highlights video 👌🏽 😉 (your hair always looks good Laura, we gotta show Aaron some love also)
Question the new lavender plants in your formal garden space, will it get cut back this year too?
NOW someone says to cut back lavender. TOO LATE NOW, I'm afraid.
This is the first year I got the "right" onion seed! Lol So maybe, possibly I will actually have a good harvest this year. Oh, and I never knew that the seeds are typically only viable a year, so I was always planting some old seed!
Very productive day❤😊
