I’m not really sure what kind of plant this is. I’ve had it in a hallway at my job for probably a good 10 years. It’s not getting a lot of sunlight, but I could easily move it so that it does. Could that be the cause of the browning on some of the leaves? Prior to the current issue with the leaves, I may have had it in front of the window at some point, but I can’t remember how long ago that was, if at all.
I typically water the plant once each week, year-round. I probably pour a couple cups of water in at a time.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

That’s a money tree.
They don’t like being over watered. I water mine once every two weeks. Always test the soil prior to watering so they’re not drenched 😊
Yeah that’s definitely a money tree! The low light + weekly watering is probably the issue. They don’t need much water in low light since they’re not photosynthesizing as fast. Try letting the top 2 inches of soil dry out completely before watering again – usually ends up being every 2-3 weeks indoors.
