okay so I bought these from bunnings and they spent like 10 mind MAX in the car ride home, and they went floppy 🙁

    Oh no, you massacred my boys 😭
    Even when they drop the leaves, they can come back from the rhizomes bro, so don’t worry too much.
    How hot was that car?
    Alocasias cannot withstand temperatures above 28°C without having over 60% humidity.
    Over 30-35°C for several minutes and they will receive permanent damage to growth, curl their leaves and stop growth entirely due to heat induced stress.
    This will need time to heal though.

    Basically you left your children in your car and they are almost dead now.
    If it was not about plants, you’d be in big trouble 😅
    Alocasia Jacklyn is basically taken from nature reserves from Southeast Asia, so it is your duty to *not* throw them away, but to keep growing them, to be able to spread them all over the world so there are enough plants for everyone and to ensure that their beauty will pe preserved for ever! 👍🏻
