It needs more light, the maximum you can provide it. How do you water it?
Pot upgrade, better water and light schedule. These can cope with a good amount of light and water, and will grow quickly to fill a new pot.
Also you can scratch with your nail the leaf less branch, if it’s not green cut it. After moving it to a better light spot, you can shorten the long branches to push it to grow new ones.
Check for thrips. It’s also best to use the weight of the pot and a chopstick into the soil instead of watering on a schedule.
I agree with giving it a lot of light. Make sure to acclimate it.
