A friend gifted me this FLF and it’s grown about a foot and a half since I’ve had it. I’m finally coming around to the idea of chopping her, but am nervous about it. I’ve only ever cut and propagated smaller ones and have had good success. Where to cut and what method to use for propagating? I usually do water but I think I’ve mostly been lucky. Note- I’ve started shaking her several times a week to try and get off the stake. Any other tips are appreciated!

It’s so leggy …sadly I would chop wayyyy down to basically where the branches first part from the main trunk. I did a heavy chop of my leaning FLF some months ago (it was one branch that was nearly to the ceiling). It’s now sent three shoots which have been growing new leaves. I didn’t have luck propagating the top half in soil so I’d try a water prop next time. Good luck!
