Hi everyone, I could really use some advice about my Monstera variegat.

Toward the end of summer, the leaves started turning brown (edges and spots), and since then the plant has been pretty stagnant. I’m currently waiting for spring to do anything major.

The plant is growing in leca balls. New leaves keep getting smaller, and right now it only has one node, so I’m not sure what the best move is:
– should I cut it and propagate,
– or leave it as it is and try to stabilize it until spring?

It’s kept in partial shade and mostly gets light in the late afternoon / early evening. It usually always has water, except for a short period in September when I forgot it was still summer and the water evaporated.

If anyone has experience with variegated monsteras in leca or semi-hydro, I’d really appreciate any advice

Chop and prop. Then increase its light by ALOT.

This happened to me when I had bugs. I had thrips. I didn’t understand why it was doing this because it had been doing fine.

Hopefully it’s not bugs- is the wall colder because of the winter?
Have you added any humidity to the air? (Shower, electric humidifier, tea kettle)
