Hi everyone! How can I make sure they open up by Saturday morning?? Any suggestions? Do you think they’ll be fine. Thanks so much

  1. Slightly warm water in the vase and a sunny window increases your chances of them opening. Once the do, gently slide off the fuzzy black stamens. The plants put energy into making pollen and will last a smidge longer without them (at least, that’s what we did in the florist wheee I worked).

One time for a winter wedding, we also lightly bagged them before doing the above steps. Think something along the lines of a roasting bag for a turkey. It trapped the warm moisture but you run the risk of damaging petals.

  2. I doubt they’re gonna be opened by Saturday, you may have one or two blooms opened fully and a few cracked. But your best chance is to put in sunlight with warm water.
