After 60 years, Olive Garden parent company Darden Restaurants Inc., is closing all its remaining Bahama Breeze locations.
Founded in 1966, Bahama Breeze offered guests “Caribbean inspired food, handcrafted drinks, and a vibrant island atmosphere.”
Now, those days are coming to an end.
Darden Restaurants Inc., the restaurant conglomerate responsible for Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze and seven other restaurant chains, confirmed it would close all 28 of its remaining Bahama Breeze locations over the next few months.

“The company has now determined that it will permanently close 14 Bahama Breeze restaurants and plans to convert the remaining 14 locations into another Darden brand,” the company said in a statement.
“The company does not expect these actions to have a material impact on its financial results.”
The closures are expected to be complete by April 5, 2026.
The transformations are expected to be completed over the next 12 to 18 months, though the company did not confirm which brands would be taking over the spaces.
Darden said the reason for closing these stores is because they are no longer “a strategic priority.”
