WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Garden City Police Department said a crash involving an SUV caused a power outage for some residents on Monday.
It happened around 5 a.m. at Mary and A streets.
The department said a GMC Yukon hit a power pole, knocking it 15 feet from where it previously stood. A school speed limit sign was also damaged.
Power crews were called to the site to restore power to the homes impacted.

Police said the driver initially ran but was eventually found. He was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
