A hopeful ritual, always on February 1:
The first seed planted every year in my nursery is the onion.
I give thanks to the seeds, to the soil, to the clean water.
To the fresh air, to the light.
To the container, to the electricity, to the home that protects us.
May we all help each other grow. 🌱

I see that you are making an offering to appease your god that appears before you in the picture.>! ;)!<
I like your ritual. Just keep kitty a safe distance from the onions.
Frame this post, amazing
This is the year I learned just how important new onion seeds are. I started an assortment of old and new seeds. The new seeds were up in days, the old still haven’t germinated three weeks later.
I went to buy new seed this weekend.
What a beautiful picture! Please tell me your cat’s name is onion? Fingers crossed it is 🤞🏻lol
You should share this in r/onionlovers they would appreciate it 🧅
Blessed be
Very exciting! I planted a bed full of Texas Early Grano on Jan 14, they just began popping up (first two) yesterday! Starting a 3 bed succession planting cycle with them, trying a 45 day spacing. (I’m in Hawaii so “seasons” are more of a calendar thing than a weather thing)
Good luck with yours!
