In colder regions, I’ve found it most important to prioritize placing plants in the warmest spot inside the house.
Even if the location receives little to no natural light, they can still grow well with the use of LED grow lights.
The photo shows my Pachira room. It was originally a small, completely dark storage room, which I emptied and repurposed specifically for plants.
Although it appears very bright, all of the light comes from LED grow lights placed around the plants from multiple directions.
For watering, I use a SUSTEE moisture indicator to help avoid over- or under-watering.
The hanging fabric you see is actually made up of four electric heating blankets, which help keep the temperature from dropping below around 13 °C (55 °F).
Just sharing my personal setup and experience.
