Grounded. I'm so glad you said that about the tomatoes ie don't pluck off the foliage. Many people who grow other plants we are allowed to grow in Canada tell you to remove leaves so the light can get to the flowers. I always say the leaves are the factories that make the flowers! More leaves to me means more and better flowers. Confusing!
Have you tried growing your zucchini up a pole, tying it to a well stabilized pole as it grows? I have and quite successfully. It also reduces mildew issues because the airflow is better.
Hey man, this is a bit of a weird question. I have seen you come to the butcher shop that I work at and was wondering if you might be interested in trying to grow some spicy peppers. We use the peppers in some of our marinades but they needed to be de-seeded first.
I'm not sure if the peppers have been smoked or just left to dry. I saved a whole bunch last week and was going to test out if any of them would germinate.
Not sure if that's something you would be interested in trying or not.
If I stop pruning my tomatoes I will end up in a big nightmare. The plants are growing very strong and big close to the limits with pruning. Without pruning they would become unmanageable. This tip sounds very unrealistic to me.
Be careful with not pruning tomatoes, especially before the flowering stage, as the branches can create a dense jungle look, which looks nice, but can also become the perfect environment for powdery mildew, insects, and other diseases to come in/hide and thrive. Personally, I'd prune lower branches until flowers start to appear. Worked tremendously last year!
If you donβt want your tomato plant to have bad air flow and rot in high humidity and you want more then just leaves, prune it! Not everyone gardens in the same space or climate.

I prune tomatoes until the vine is all the way up the trellis, then stop pruning and allow them to explode.
Grounded I love your videos and wanting to get serious with my home garden.

You have to prune indeterminate tomatos or your plants will be overcome with disease. At least the bottom 3 feet
