I'm in socal so huge succulents are a normal sight but this one blew me away. Glad I was alone in the parking lot I made a noise when I saw it was a euphorbia, probably. Anyone know how old it possibly could be?

Holy crap! It’s like a Shimpaku Juniper but scaled all the way up! Incredible! Thank you for sharing!

Whenever I visit LA (from Chicago) I’m amazed at the people’s plants in their yard. I also jave one of these pencil trees, but obviously much smaller. No clue on age, but it’s gotta be at least a decade or two, no?

Euphorbia tirucalli. Where I live it was introduced and is sometimes found in nature. We call it “aveloz”.

I love this! I bet it’s over 100 years old.

Pencil cactus. It’s a type of Euphorbia. We have them all over Phoenix. When they get stressed they turn a beautiful red/orange/pink almost flame like tips. That is enormous!! Wow. 🤩
