76 more days until spring.
Until then, plants with winter interest are keeping me going.
When I first started gardening all I focused on were flowers — more flowers, more better. I’m now going into beds and adding in evergreens to provide winter interest and structure. Since I’m working with limited space, my “go to” evergreens are dwarf conifers. They’re low maintenance, no fuss, and stay perfectly round and adorable year round. My two favorites are from @pwcolorchoice — tater tot and Anna’s magic ball. You can’t go wrong with either choice.
Did you plan for evergreens in your spaces or are you squeezing them in like me? 🤣

I moved into a new house last year that had almost nothing planted. It felt like a mostly blank slate. My evergreens went in first. It was nice to start from scratch like that. Flowering broadleaf evergreens are my favorite. And anything dwarf because its so hard to not want everything.
So magical 🤩✨🤗❤️
Go native with everything!
I didn’t know you could eat those😢
Thank you for helping wild life….
Beautiful garden
Our winters are very cold. No gardening until April.😊
I've never grown them, but I've heard blueberry bushes look cool in winter. Heucheras are evergreen and they come in a thousand colors.
I used to have a huge vegetable garden. Small orchard with many fruit trees. Herb garden. Roses and perennials. But, now I live in Colorado and have freezing winters, summer grasshoppers and 7 years of drought. They've raised our base water rate so high, most people can only use house water and not water anymore anything outside. We are on ssi and in our 70s. No more gardens for me. 😢
Winters are! But I'm sure you are already planning and looking forward to spring (74 days…)
The idea is outstanding I did not expect it to be this good.
Cuenta una leyenda…
Those are my favorite dwarf conifers also! I put in 3 more Anna’s Magic Ball plants last year – about the same size as yours!
OH YES WE CAN SAY THAT ABOUT THE HUMANS TO SNOW COLD WIND 😮😮NOT. FUN. AT. ALL…❤❤❤
Are they poisonous to dogs? Just got my first garden and I bought some gardening books but they assume you already know a lot, and I don't. I'm an ex flat dweller without even window boxes.
