Here are 4 reasons I’m NOT gardening in 2026. Are they legitimate excuses, or are they just well-planned lies? Let us know your 2026 garden plan in the Comments!

All you need some chickens and goats for eggs and milk
Always the best! but I think it's funny that sometimes I think the very things myself "why should I garden when I can just buy it?" Then the reality hits when you go shopping. OMG some of that stuff, . . . . well, lets just say, it's not for eating. Maybe the compost? It is a little bit more work to garden, honestly. Watering if it doesn't rain. Trying to keep your soil just right, adding mulch, etc. And you also have to keep the critters out! They know a good thing when they see it! But it feels really good to eat freshly picked vegetables. The taste! The look! The health! Nothing beats it.
Was just planning my garden tonight! So excited to dream as it’s – something tonight! Love your videos! Eye catching video! I knew you were going somewhere fun!!!
I've had so much fun growing my gardens over time. Pretty much everything you've said in this video reflects my own experience, from being outside more often to keeping myself productive (the latter of which helps me stay mentally content). There are challenges like fending off pests or hydrating my green babies multiple times during brutal summers, but it's part of that experience. Eventually, I'm rewarded with either delicious produce or just beautiful plants that will even attract bees on occasion. While my produce have been small compared to what's available at stores, they were packed in flavor. I definitely enjoyed growing my chocolate bell peppers. 😆
Good one Anthony!
Dales a good boy!
I love these thoughts! I am feeling more motivated today than I have in a few months. I got a lot of little side things like you mentioned done today and I'm starting to catch the new vision for this next year. Feeling excited! 😁🙌
I like your brains, not your sarcasm. You are very good – even though MY vegetable garden is in Alaska, (zone 4). BTW, Lettuce is SO dead tasting up here in the grocery store.
Lol, I really thought that you won't garden anymore. I now understand ahahaha. Yes it's better to garden.
Spot On kiddo, I about fall over when I price things in the stores that we grow and how much money we are saving. And as you said we know our food is good and not full of chemicals, I love canning my tomatoes in many ways and that's a huge saver as well as canning up soups for the winter. Using the dry beans to can your own beans and have on the shelf for all kinds of things. Just made some Gumbo using my onions, peppers, okra and tomatoes along with my home-made chorizo sausage, and it was yummy.

Excellent information on all the benefits of gardening.
As an older person, I’m not gardening this year because I don’t want to waste my sunset years outside in the fresh air and sunshine using my muscles and brain when I could be inside watching TV and developing dementia. Priorities people.
😂😂😂😂😊😊😊 I love you man! Cracking me right up today!
Snow and ice winterpocolypse Jan 25, 2025 is slamming the country now! Fla be freezing off n on until Mar 1st ish!
This is the perfect video for this weekend of winter we're having. Thank you for the inspiration!
I love how you use reverse psychology, hopefully the people will listen. You are so correct, i had my first little garden this past summer and enjoyed it. Retiring in one week and look forward to spending my time working in the garden. It is great exercise and rewarding. Thanks for your sarcasm, love your channel, keep up the great work
Is there a company out there that gives you a plan o
Or grid of items that can be and cannot be grown together?
I'm mid 50s and learned gardening from my Grandmother who told me about people eating tree bark and leather shoes in The Great Depression.
❤
this video is hilarious. and kind of sad too. that you felt the need to make it. there is nothing more gratifying and satisfying, for me, than growing food.
Anthony you’re the best!👍😍❤
Thanks!
