This brand-new outdoor trail, opening on February 13 for the half-term break and lasting all year, will allow visitors to join Mr Toad, Ratty, Mole, and Badger on an expedition across the garden.

Throughout the trail, families will encounter storybook characters and learn about nature, loyalty, and friendship.

The trail covers iconic sights at RHS Rosemoor, using the story’s rich, nature-based world to arouse curiosity about wildlife, habitats, and the importance of protecting the environment.

The Wind in the Willows story will guide visitors to sensory boxes, traditional garden games, photo opportunities, and various outdoor activities for all ages.

From February 16 to 20, families can participate in free, drop-in craft and planting sessions in the Garden Room.

Activities include making a Badger mask, crafting an Otter puppet, designing a Ratty bookmark, creating a Toad portrait, and crafting your own Wind in the Willows herb planter.

Each event runs twice a day, from 10.30am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 3.45pm.

On February 20, the storytelling of The Wind in the Willows will also be brought to life.

Please check the RHS Rosemoor website for further details.

All activities are suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Those under five can enter for free, while under-17s will pay £5.

It is cheaper to book online in advance.
