Waterloo regional police have made an arrest after a fatal stabbing incident late Friday afternoon.
Police were called to the Garden Path Place and Country Stone Crescent area of Kitchener around 4:30 p.m.
Initially, police said one person suffered life-threatening injuries and a search was initiated for a male suspect.
In an update Friday night, police said a man was found dead inside of a residence and investigators identified a suspect.
Officers later located a 26-year-old Kitchener man, who was taken into custody.
Police continue to investigate the homicide and are asking witnesses to contact them.
