This cactus fell behind a neglected curtain and hasn’t been watered in, I’d say 1-1.5 years. I submerged it fully after I recovered it and it looks the same as when I found it. Very firm “stem”? and the spines are not brittle. Pics included

Repot it (if you haven’t already, or if it was knocked out), Slowly acclimate it to brighter light and very slowly introduce water to it. Ferocactus are hardy and it should recover in a few weeks/months
Ferocactus macrodiscus. And it needs more light.
