what’s the long term strategy here? won’t chicken ls pretty much reduce gardens to dust? will you keep out once established?

Oh they can get their long necks in there still lol trust me, I would know

If my chickens are anything to go by, you may lose the seedlings in the cells closest to the cage walls, those holes are big enough for them to reach in a little ways. If you have a bit of hardware cloth or chicken wire, I’d wrap a strip around that at least 6 inches high.
