I gave a nepenthes to an uncle many years ago. Now look what it has become! He says it drinks about 2 liters of water daily and is the center of attention when people walk through the street.

Wow!! What sort of climate is he in that he can grow this outside? I’d love to try if I lived in say, San Francisco
