Try to aerate the soil with a metal spike or wire, and then water deeply with water soluble nutes ***during the active growing season

Make sure its fully grafted. I’ve had this issue more often when grafting lophs. It looks like it grafted but months later with no growth, ill be less cautious with checking and find that the center didnt bond but just a small area to the edge. After a few months the graft should be solid so if it feels like it pulling up when checking, just go for it and you’ll see what I mean.
