  2. Hard Frost? Come to Maine bubguy, let me show you some wonders lol. Seriously i just posted a video if you are curious. Your cold hardies are looking spectacular.

  3. I started putting my fall and winter vegetables at 6 ft instead of 3 ft and I found put everything stays much warmer

  4. I hope you'll cover the sides. That won't do anything. I put mine right over the plants and then another one on top of that. Idaho.

  5. Thanks for the info. I saw your onions and wanted to know how often you fertilize them and with what? I planted starts about a month ago and they are green but growing VERY SLOWLY. Two weeks after planting I hit them with fish emulsion water soluble fertilizer and iv done so for the two weeks that followed but like I said growth seem really slow.

  6. We had a frost last night too here in North Texas. I covered the vegetables up with the cross cough over my hoops and have my Christmas lights on last night.

I’ll see if they survive when I go out this morning

  7. Thanks for explaining the difference between freezing and frost on plants. When I start growing cold-weather veggies, it will be helpful to know that I don't have to give up when the temps drop so low, and to know how to protect and prolong them by protecting them from frost!
(A few minutes ago I learned why walking onions are called walking onions. This is a very learning kind of day!)

  8. The leaves freeze though. Do you just pick them frozen and wait for them to grow back or leave them frozen and they keep growling after they thaw? Im truly confused..in Minnesota.

  9. damn and im about to try a first fig from a wild fig cutting i took on a hiking trail near my house (way off trail) here in San Bernardino Cal. i was just told we can get ripe figs till Jan, i had no idea. the leaves look exactly like Dalmatie but fruit looks kinda like white michurinska or any more round no neck green fig that ripens a bit yellow
