i've had this succulent for about a month.
today i was checking it out and i noticed the leaves looked weird. when i touched it, it just fell apart. only that little bunch at the right is still okay but the rest is just broken with a little twig still upright where they were once attached.
i'm confused because there was never any color change, they just fell off.
also i've seen videos online of people repotting their succulent's leaves by taking them and just putting them halfway in the soil, is this a real thing? if so, how could i do this?
i keep it on my desk near a window and water it weekly with only a few tiny drops of water at a time. (thats how i was instructed to care for it.)
someone must be praying on my downfall, all my plants are dying all of a sudden… ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Stop watering plants a little bit at a time. You should water them fully and completely every time. And then let them dry out. Whoever told you that is a dingus.Â
You’re supposed to soak the soil with water, let it dry out completely, wait a while and then soak again. This mimics the plant’s natural desert habitat.
Same thing happened to me sadly, I think it was overwatering combined with shock of a new environment. Yes you can propagate the leaves. Stick them in some dry soil and you’ll see little white roots growing after a week or two. A tiny baby succulent will start growing on the side of the leaf. Once there’s lots of healthy roots you can transfer it to a pot. It takes patience but it is possible! Also just a note: whoever told you to only give it a little bit of water was wrong. They are desert plants and so like to fully dry out between waterings but when you do water, you should saturate the soil completely and let the excess drain off. Make sure the pot has drainage and use a good quality cactus/succulent soil. Just thought I’d let you know in case you try again! 😊
Overwatered succulent
Succulents are great because if you have a healthy leaf you can start a new plant out of it. I normally just plant ontop of some soil in a bright spot in the window, once roots develop you can tuck the roots in the soil and water lightly. As other comments have said succulents don’t need alot of water.. I water mine like every two months in the winter or when the leaves bend like a taco
Use the leaves to make more plants
Yes you can put them in a pot and they’ll go 🙂

Every time I break one off I put it in the nursery lol. When you get them going, as other people have said, water sparingly but *thoroughly* when you *do* water.
You can do it!
