My goodness as the barn turns poor Vergie but good job at figuring it out lady.
Aye dios Helen, be nice.
Hi from Scotland oh my what a day jess I suppose just another day on the farm just lovly to see your lamming season I just love lambs here in scotland lambing season starts around March and April somtimes earlier it's common that lambs can be born February and is common that farmers have to dig the lambs out of deep snow the boys were so excited to help so glad you found out the problem with your wee goat take care all the best to your lovly family take care. Anne from Scotland
Absolutely another great day on the Homestead! Thankful that all is well at sunset! Blessings Kiddo!๐๐๐ฟ
I'm really enjoying the videos again. I've missed them. You look great Jess.
I love your videos, girl. You feed my soul. It's encouraging to see your interaction with your boys. Ben has such a love of gardening and is so sweet with the animals. I no longer live in an apartment. THANK MY GOD!!! Our dtr got us to move into the trailer park right across the driveway from her. I love it out here. It doesn't come without its downfalls tho. The ground is hard like concrete, it lacks soil, doesn't grow grass but is full of stickers. My plan is to pay for a chip drop and spread the woodchips about a foot deep over our yard between our trailer and the next. I figure by the time a foot of wood decomposes, this will make for better soil and will hopefully smoother out the stickers. I just have to get rid of the ants, first. They are everywhere, yet no mounds. (Grok says they are from Argentina) Then I will get about 20 or 25 of those molasses-lick 25-gal tubs, fill them full of the black compost from Bailey's Bark, and grow in the tubs. This will be easier on my back, and I pray for better soil to grow in. I'm so glad you figured out the issue with your sheep losing weight. At least now, you know how to deal with it. I'm glad Virgie is ok, and I'm sure she will fatten up quick now. That lamb is adorable. Thnx Jess for sharing.
I read your substack and you were talking about you were having to watch your favorite goat die and how sad it is. Were you referring to Virgie and this situation? Did she end up taking a turn for the worse? Oh dear I hope she pulls through. Poor baby. Breaks my heart. ๐ Hugs ๐ซ Jess and many prayers. ๐
Thank You!
Poor little Virgy(sp?) girl! Glad sheโs okay! Just curious how your silky roosters manage to stay alive if they donโt live in a coop?
Big hug to virgie
Time out for Helen๐
Sweet Virgie. Iโm so thankful she is okay. โค๏ธ๐๐ฝ
I love lambing season, my uncle and cousins had a lamb ranch in Yakima called Robertโs ranch/or farm, but it was always hectic during lambing season.
Of course it would happen when Miahโs leaving!
Thank you for sharing ๐
๐can't wait to see more lamb babies ๐ค๐ป for multiples๐
Ben, so adorable ๐ Hope all goes smoothly from here.
I remember farm drama fondly . . . At the risk of repeating myself, Jess, I wish you and your family and fur babies, big and small, the best of Health throughout the New Year! ๐โโฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ชด๐ณ๐ก๐โค
Blessings for the New Year!
Awwwwโฆmy heart melted at 4:21 when Ben saw the lamb shivering and gave the wee one a warm hug. ๐ฅฐ
What a great day at the farm for the entire family โค Looking forward to the next video with new babies.๐
What a wonderful variety of characters your livestock are. Seeing them all in proximity is absolutely amazing. I love the shot of your cat observing the scene. Thank you for sharing your everyday reality. It really is pretty wonderful for this country girl now old lady living in a city. God bless you and your family.
beautiful animals
18:14 WE RIDE AT DAWN FOR VIRGI๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
HELEN IS GOING ON THE NAUGHTY LIST NEXT YEAR
Hanging out with you is such a blessing. Baby lambs are so darn cute! Blessings right back to you. ๐ฅฐ
You should read what the Lord says in the Bible about unruly animals.
Always something huh? ๐ Iโd feed Virgie some Dyne with her feed to help add weight, and just to be safe maybe test for Johns
Wishing best recoveries for your little Virgie ๐ So many lessons the farm must be teaching your boys and family. We all need to get back up after being knocked down by bullies ๐๐
I used to help my daughter at her High schoolโs farm. Cows will bully goats and sheep. I hope things settle down for you. I can hardly wait to watch the lambs kiddle.
why is the lamb limping?๐ฎโค
So glad you figured it out, that Virgie will be ok. Cow version of mean girls is much scarier. Anyone else notice the lamb and the cat are the same size?
