Friends; hi!
I have a diffenbachia from my grandma that I want to prop… she gave me the the one with many leaves years ago? And the little stub with no open leaves back in April (I think). I have someone who wants a part of the plant & wondering where to cut / if it will root if I put it in soil vs water… thanks in advance!

As you can see, the trunk on the right, the one with the closed leaves, has a lot of nodes. You could cut anywhere, always under the node and let it root in water. It’s a shame to just have to cut the tip. In any case, at least 12/15 cm cuttings.
Looks like the ones that aren’t opening might need more light. They are stretching for it. You can cut just below where those leaves are coming out, I believe, let it callous for a while then put in water to root with water just above the node, not the whole stem. Or even lay sideways in a shallow dish or sphagnum moss or perlite. I haven’t done one in a very long time but I’m pretty sure they prop pretty easily.
