I finally did it and got my first air plant today! I couldn't resist those colours. I got it on discount while picking something else out as it was in a bit of a rough state. I soaked it and hung it up to dry upside down as instructed. Since it is my first air plant I'll gladly accept any advice or care tips! I don't have a genus ID, google lens mstcges leads me to believe it may be a Tillandsia Ionantha? I could be wrong though.

I checked it out and my results said that it was a Hybrid called “Curly Slim”. It’s a hybrid of two different varieties of Tillandsia.I have an air plant that looks similar to yours. I have been experiencing mine to make pups.
