I already introduced this group of Thelocactus bicolor v. schwarzi to you last year. These are seeds from Koehres, sown in 2014.
This mexican variety lives in a very small area in nature, its distinctive sign is the absence of the central spine.
I gave them a sunnier spot this year, and it triggered an intense wave of flowering since october (southern hemisphere)
Did you notice the little green berries too? Seeds are for soon!
The biggest subject begins to reject (4 pups) which seems unusual to me for this specie.
Thank you for coming to see this post and my little plants!
PS: seed exchange, anyone ?
good idea!
But I'm focused on small and challenging species, perfectly identified.
I'm on the south pacific region.
