Plants I'd had for years, some brought back from near death, rare plants, pups, blooms – all gone. I left my sliding door open for much longer than I normally do and they all froze to death.

I'm devastated and inconsolable. Here are pictures of a few when they were alive and thriving.

OH NO! I’m so sorry. What a lovely collection. 🙁

I’m very sorry for your loss. I completely understand how you’re feeling, as I’ve gone through something similar but from depression and neglect. Your plants were truly beautiful, and it’s obvious you’re a wonderful plant parent. I have no doubt you’ll be able to rebuild your collection soon.

So sad. I can tell how much you loved them.

I’m really sorry to hear this. I would be really upset too. Most people won’t be able to understand this but I can understand how much this sucks.

Not airplants, but I had a huge collection of San Pedro, Loph and other rare succulents/cacti that all died when I moved across the country. Two years later I am still pissed about it, 10+ years down the drain.

What has helped recently was making a list of stuff I want again when I can afford to buy seeds or cuttings, will be years before that happens. Made blueprints for a greenhouse as well.

Go buy yourself a therapy plant, helps alot.

  8. I am so sorry! What a blow that must be. It’s obvious from your meticulous setups how much they meant to you.

When it warms up in your area, hit me up and I’d be glad to send you some from my yard (SW Florida) where they grow wild. There’s nothing fancy or rare, mind you, but I’d love to help you get started again when you’re ready. 💚

Omg. I feel your pain. I would be as devastated if my collection that I spent so much money and time on dies.

Oh no! Just remember, plants are replaceable. You will get your set up bigger & better.

Oh no, no, no. 😔I have lost airplants to sunburn and water because– oh who cares why? It’s so, so heartbreaking. And your collection was exceptional! So beautifully mounted and photographed. I have an extraordinary collection from Rainforest Flora in Hawthorne California and from Airplant Alchemy when Brian Kollenberg had to downsize. Please let me know when you are ready to start over after your ❤️ heals and I will send you a variety (some of which I see you had). I know they are “only plants” but man, oh man that was some collection! 😍

Sorry for the loss!! I love the holders, what kind of wires you use to make those?

I lost my first air plant , i think i soaked it too long and the leaves stayed damp. I’m very sad.
Winter is very tricky bc of dry indoor air and then drafts. 😔

You loved those little bromeliads. I can tell that you really tried to give them the best care possible. My heart goes out to you.
