I’ve had this Alocasia for about 6 weeks and this is the 2nd new leaf. It seems healthy enough, but the coloring is throwing me off!
Chunky aroid mix, small indoor greenhouse, 70 degrees, 70% humidity, about 12 inches from grow light 12 hours per day, beneficials for pest control.

Could be sport verigation. I am not any kind of alocasia expert so don’t take my awnser as fact its litterly just a guess.
Your Black Velvet is variegated and looks to be at least Green-on-Green. Congrats!!
