Jewel beetle – aussie native. They can often move as a herd when juvenile like this & they are sapsuckers. This wonderful emerging group could all fly off at a moments notice, just be sure the dont settle on a citrus you own or camellia etc…. If they do, a gentle spray from the hose usually gets them to move along (dont spray this group tho yet, they are literally just emerging)

So lovely to see them! I used to see them every year as a kid, then stopped seeing them for a long time. It’s nice to see people sharing pics.
