Is that a tree style Opuntia? I have one, and the flowers don’t open all the way. I don’t remember the term for it, bit it’s normal.

Just know that this is Opuntia cochenillifera. The flower of this species are really different than the typical flowers. This is basically the beginning of the bloom, the petals won’t get much bigger, only the pistil will elongate a little bit more.
