I’ve had this euphorbia for about 6 years. It’s lived in this pot for the last 4 or so years. I have a feeling this is just corking given its age but wanted a second opinion. It sits on a sw facing windowsill and gets late afternoon sun. I live in a desert climate with a relative humidity of ~35%. I water about once a week, sometime more like every 10 days. I’ve definitely overwatered cactus/succulents in the past but this doesn’t seem like rotting. Am I worried about nothing??

I did not have one for as long but when it died it was a similar manner of browning. I would take some of the healthier growth off now to prop and restart.
Hi! Definitely corking, I have the same ‘rusting’ happening at the base of mine. I would say it looks a bit etiolated with inconsistent watering (going from skinny to girthy).
