Any reason not to use coated chicken wire?

I used some of this as a base for my last tank project. It’s doing well, but it’s new.

I am starting a new one and wondering if there are downsides to using coated chicken wire.

I like it because I can fill it with filter floss and sphagnum, rather than spray foam.
