2 hours of hard work on that DIY moss pole wasted 😭😭 At first I was using a tall coco coir pole but I’ve read that it can’t properly climb on it so I decided to make a moss pole since my mom won’t let me buy yet. Is it way to short? 😭

It will be great for some time so you have time to make a taller one-love your inventiveness it’s looks so cool!

As the other commentor said, you’ll have plenty of time to extend it, check out Sydney Plant Guy on YouTube if you haven’t already.

It looks great!! The DIY route is a bit more investing time-wise, but it’s always rewarding to watch them grow to the top! And there will always be a division between the veins of thought for moss/support poles. Some say coco coir is fine while others believe in sphagnum moss and see coco coir poles only as a “support”. However, small moss pole will still give you time to plan or purchase a new bigger moss pole in the mean time.

Don’t buy a moss pole if you can make one yourself, and you clearly can. Pink princess is not a fast grower so it wont outgrow the pole for few months.

You can just extend the pole by DIYing when it needs it. I would leave the net part off because it’s frustrating trying to remove a pole without damaging roots. Open poles are a way to go.
