Smoke could be seen billowing from the Water Gardens car park today (December 9) following the incident first being reported just before 4pm.
According to Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue, two vehicles and an electrical vehicle charging station were alight.
Two pumps were sent from Hemel Hempstead fire station and as of 6pm crews are still working at the scene.
There appears to be heavy traffic down Leighton Buzzard Road and nearby, according to Google Maps.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue said: “The service was called at 3.59pm today (December 9) to reports of two vehicles and an electrical vehicle charging station on fire at the car park.
“Two pumps were sent from Hemel Hempstead station and firefighters are currently tackling the fire.”
