Why do you assume it’s intended to do harm? Do you have reason to believe they’re out to get you?
It’s not as toxic as other true lilies. Would maybe make your cat sick if they ate a bit, but not nearly as dangerous.
Longtime fosterer of rescue kitties here, and plant lover. These peace lilies aren’t really dangerous for cats. They could sting kitty’s mouth or give them a mild upset, but they are not actually lilies, despite the common name. I have a big one in my home and my cats have never shown any interest in it.
If you see your cat chomping on it a lot move it to an inaccessible place, but it’s not necessary to get rid of it. That’s a nice, healthy plant you have there.

Not really a lily at all, but an arum, like calla “lilies,” jack-in-the-pulpit, and skunk cabbage.

As a plant person I would be siked, if your relationship with this employer is strained a plant like this may be an attempt to mend fences. Just a thought. Peace.

Yes, that’s a peace lily, very pretty plant that is forgiving when you forget to water it! It should be repotted to allow for growth and water retention. I’m from the northeast so I grow it in the house, and have never had a problem with my cats, but they should be discouraged from contact.

We’ve got a couple of those. And three cats. The cats occasionally chew off the ends of the leaves. No harm.
