Best garden centres in Buckinghamshire to visit at Christmas

From Santa’s Grotto visits to looking at all those festive decorations, you can’t help but feel cosy, warm and merry.

Thankfully, Buckinghamshire has plenty of great garden centres to browse this December, including the likes of Buckinghamshire Garden Centre and Chiltern View Garden Centre.

Buckinghamshire Garden Centre

Buckinghamshire Garden Centre offers a wide range of products from gardening tools, plants, gifts and homeware decor.

The centre has an on-site restaurant called the Gardeners’ Retreat that serves a range of meals including breakfast, lunch and cakes.

For Christmas, the Gardeners’ Retreat has a special festive menu during weekdays, where guests can enjoy a roast dinner as part of a three-course meal.

Hartwell Nurseries

Location: Hartwell Nurseries, Ford Rd, Stone HP17 8RZ

Hartwell Nurseries has a team that is passionate about plants and is ready to offer advice for all levels of gardening.

During the festive period, the garden centre is selling a range of Christmas trees in a range of heights from 3-10ft.

The centre is also hosting a special Christmas Magical Wonderland experience, as well as the chance to meet Father Christmas.

Chiltern View Garden Centre

Location: Wendover Rd, Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury HP22 5GX

Chiltern View Garden Centre is a locally family-run centre that is known for high-quality products and service.

At Christmas time, the garden centre hosts a range of festive events including ice skating, Santa’s Grotto, Drag Bingo and the chance to meet Minnie and Mickey Mouse.

Tickets for the ice rink start at £8, and sessions last 40 minutes, plus you can enjoy hot drinks and food from the on-site cafe.

Peterley Manor Farm

For Christmas, visitors to the farm can enjoy festive activities such as wreath workshops, Apres Ski and Alpine Wine Tasting, and a paint and sip session.

The paint and sip session lets guests relax as they paint a festive gingerbread house while enjoying a free drink.
