The simple task also allows grassroots to breathe and absorb moisture more effectively.Be careful when aerating your yard – as grass is often dormant during the colder months. For those considering this approach, it’s recommended to target only compacted soil areas. Gentle aeration with a fork, rather than a heavy machine, should be done selectively, avoiding any frosted or overly damp patches of the garden.Try overseeding, which is the process of planting new grass seeds directly into the lawn without tearing anything up. While this is typically done when it’s not frosty, it can still work a charm in winter.
