The Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island’s Plant and Floral Design Sale on Saturday, Nov. 22 was a great success.
Marco Islanders and visitors purchased over 100 landscape and house plants, including poinciana trees and many native plants. Colorful fall fresh and dried floral designs were good sellers, also, with over 50 designs to choose from.
This year’s sale also featured terrariums for sale as completed miniature gardens for your home or as kits to make yourself, plus a garden market table with ornamental items. And the children’s activities table, where children could make seed bombs and learn about plants while getting temporary tattoos was a big hit! Parents could also learn about Camp Wekiva, the environmental and nature camp sponsored by Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, and to which Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island gives camperships.
Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island meets monthly from October through April at Rose Hall at the Marco branch library. Membership is open to persons residing in Collier County five months or more. For more information, go to calusa.org.
