During the winter I have a hard time selling cactus for more than 20-50$ per plant. During the spring I have trouble selling cacti for under 50$ per plant.
In the winter people are saving for Christmas, not buying due to weather or buying smaller/cheaper cacti to add to their collection while getting good deals. It’s much harder for a cactus seller to sell plants during this time and make money, since the majority of people are spending less money (fewer sales, or cheaper plants) in the winter
During the spring people are ready to spend money on stuff they’ve been looking at overwinter and have saved for, or are just ready to spend more to add to their garden.
If you’re trying to make money on them you probably won’t, if you’re trying to get some money for them you probably will, but they will probably go for less than what you expect unless it’s a named clone that is a must have.
This has been my experience for the last 15 years
