I was busy at work and my mums replanted what was a beautifully flourishing happy plant – the stems were put in the soil and now they have very few roots and the leaves are wilting and weak, there were mushrooms growing in the soil and flies – will I have to trim and repropagate? They’ve been in the new planter about a month

I think they have been over watered and I am distraught, I’ve taken them out of the soil to see the damage 💔💔💔💔💔

I bought this beautiful plant when it only had a few leaves for my 20th birthday, it survived with me through university and will be 6 this April and have every intention of it seeing me through many more years

You always have the option of putting them in just water to allow them to start growing more roots. In fact my father grew them in just water for some he had

If it was me I’d trim and propagate, but that’s just because I’d want a bushier pothos and let them all grow out again, I’ve got very limited experience though so probably wait for someone else to say something, just me personally I’d see it as a positive because I just enjoy bushier plants, I also think pothos grow real fast imo because I’ve had one for a few weeks now and it’s already shooting down everywhere

Yes, I would cut below each node and make multiple propagations to increase your chances of rooting.

    Use dirt or water.

    The choice is yours.

    Best of luck
